8mm é um power trio do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. As músicas chegam com melodias fortes, letras que abordam temas do cotidiano… sentimentos de revolta!! Em 2000 começaram os ensaios, e logo em seguida, vieram muitos shows pelo Brasil e exterior (Europa). Na tour de lançamento do primeiro CD “Simplesmente Simples” pela Universal Music/FNM foram 15 shows em 28 dias pela Alemanha e República Tcheca.  Participaram da edição de aniversário da Plastic Bomb (Maior revista underground da Alemanha)  SPLIT EM VINIL 5′ colorido  “EMSCHERKURVE 77 VS 8MM”, formato raríssimo no Brasil e coletâneas da edição: Plastic Bomb & Moloko Plus. Entrevista para Plastic Bomb. E muitas outras coletâneas pelo Brasil!

Em 2003 lançaram o “8mm Ao Vivo” e em 2006 o “Mucho Gusto”, todos independentes.

O disco ”Onde mora a justiça?” lançado em 2010, foi apontado como um dos melhores discos de Hardcore, já lançado no cenário independente. É um disco mais pesado, com afinação baixa e vocal mais agressivo que os anteriores.

8MM – PRATIQUE A PAZ –  Nesse novo trabalho, escolheram 8 músicas onde decidiram voltar as origens do punk rock, como fizeram no primeiro CD. Só que agora com muito mais qualidade de gravação e arranjos. Nesse disco também temos a participação do Fabio “Bolinha” Barreto guitarrista do lendário grupo de hardcore carioca Serial Killer, tocando guitarra na faixa “Rei da rua”.
